Reciprocal Theatre

Personal Project
Animation
Overview"The Reciprocal Theatre" is an exploration of the intricate relationship between body, space, and time. The narrative unfolds in a nonlinear fashion, where the story concludes with a beginning and commences from an end. As the protagonist traces the path of a crow, a labyrinthine concept of time emerges, where trajectories intersect and diverge, capturing the eternal within the ephemeral.

The project is envisioned as a series of four interconnected plays, each projected onto one of the four walls of a room. To enhance the immersive experience, headphones will be provided at each station, allowing the audience to engage deeply with the custom animations and audio. Both the visual and auditory elements have been meticulously crafted to ensure a cohesive and immersive experience.

Technical Details
To create the series of animations, I utilized a combination of After Effects, Illustrator, and GarageBand. I began by designing vector-based visual assets in Illustrator, which were then meticulously animated from scratch in After Effects. The accompanying audio soundtrack was self-composed in GarageBand, adding a unique auditory layer to the experience. While the animations unfold in a fluid and organic narrative, the four plays are unified through a systematic design, ensuring they function cohesively as a single entity.
